At The Whale Theatre our auditorium offers a great view of the stage from all seats. However, depending on the style of production some seats offer a view that works better with the design of show or style of performance.

Concessions are available to senior citizens (60+), children (under 16), unwaged, people with registered disabilities, and students. All concessions are subject to availability and must be mentioned at the time of booking. Additional documentation may be requested by staff.

Age Recommendations

Some of our shows have age recommendations, and children can only be admitted with adequate adult supervision. We welcome younger children, but if they become unsettled during a performance we may ask you to take them outside. Some of our shows have strict age restrictions according to content. If you have any reservations please feel free to discuss the content of any of the shows with a member of staff.

We don’t charge a booking fee for tickets at the Whale Theatre when booked in person or online. A €2.50 booking fee per ticket will be applied to transactions over the phone.

Tickets must not be sold for profit or commercial gain by any outlet other than The Whale Theatre or one of its authorised agents. Failure to comply will make this ticket and transaction void.

Collecting at the Box Office

The main box office is located in the foyer of the theatre.

Tickets may be collected from the Box Office anytime from 6pm on the day of performances. We recommend picking up your tickets at least half an hour before the performance start time. Please bring along the card you paid with and proof of eligibility for any discounted tickets. Some higher profile shows may have stricter collection rules which you will be made aware of at the time of the booking.

Posting Tickets

Unfortunately we are unable to post tickets and all pre-paid tickets should be collected from the Box Office.

We accept VISA and Mastercard. All cheques should be made payable to The Whale Theatre.

VAT receipts and invoices can be produced on request.

Exchanges and Refunds

Once purchased tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. We will only offer ticket refunds for cancelled shows. We regret that we will not be able to offer a refund or exchange on your ticket(s) if you are refused entry to a performance due to being late.

Tickets may be exchanged for a performance within the same event run with at least 24hrs notice. An admin fee of €2.50 per ticket will also be incurred, on top of any change in ticket price, if applicable.

If the ticket you are returning is in your possession we will be unable to resell it until you have handed it into the Box Office.

By purchasing a ticket you agree to these terms and conditions.
