An evening of best loved hits from the world of musical theatre, featuring West End performers Róisín Sullivan (Evita, Oliver!), Chris Holland (Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera) and renowned musical director and pianist, David Wray (The Rocky Horror Show, Cabaret).

Róisín Sullivan

Róisín delighted to be back preforming in Whale Theatre in her home town of Greystones.She is a graduate of Mountview Academy of Theatres Arts, London and previous shows include ‘Scrooge’ with Sir Tommy Steele at The London Palladium (West End) where she understudied and played Ghost of Christmas Past, understudy Eva Peron in ‘Evita’ (UK & International Tour), the Broadway touring production of ‘Riverdance’ (USA), Adele in West End premier of ‘A Man of No Importance’ (Arts Theatre, West End) and Beggar Woman in ‘Sweeney Todd’ (Union Theatre, London).Back home, Róisín played Nancy in ‘Oliver!’ and Grace in ‘Annie’ both at the National Concert Hall, Jeursha Abbott in the Irish Premier of ‘Daddy Long Legs’ (Smock Alley), Rita in ‘Educating Rita’ (Mill Theatre), Claire in ‘Ordinary Days’(Smock Alley), Kathleen in ‘Flynn’ (Peacock Stage, Abbey Theatre), Eliza Doolittle in ‘My Fair Lady’ and Gigi in ‘Gigi’ both at the Gaiety Theatre.

Chris Holland

Chris has been starring in west end musicals for over twenty years. He was first seen in the legendary original production of ‘Miss Saigon’ at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 1993. He has since gone on to appear in some of the world’s greatest musicals, playing many iconic roles including Jean Valjean in ‘Les Misérables’, Firmin in ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’, Billy Kostecki in ‘Dirty Dancing’, Pharoah in ‘Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’, Khashoggi in ‘We Will Rock You’, Vince Fontaine And Teen Angel in ‘Grease’, and Elwood Blues in ‘The Official Tribute To The Blues Brothers’. He has created roles in new work such as Rags Ryan in ‘Burlesque’, and Davy Harrison in ‘The Last Ship’, an original musical with music and lyrics by Sting. 

David Wray

David trained at Lancaster University and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London. He has since worked as a pianist, musical director and arranger in both Musical Theatre and Opera.David was musical director for the critically acclaimed world premiere production of ‘Angela’s Ashes’ playing at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre Dublin and Belfast Opera House and was M.D. for the Irish Premiere of ‘Daddy Long Legs’ at Smock Alley Theatre.

Other Musical Direction credits include ‘The Rocky Horror Show’, ‘The Hot Mikado’, ‘Side by Side by Sondheim’, ‘Cabaret’, ‘Sweeney Todd’, ‘Assassins’, ‘Putting It Together’, all in Dublin. As Artistic & Musical Director for Music Theatre Ireland, productions include ‘Listen to my Heart, the Songs of David Friedman’, ‘The Last Five Years’, ‘And The World Goes Round’, ‘I Love You’re Perfect Now Change’, and ‘Songs For A New World’.USA & European Tours include musical direction and arrangements for The Three Irish Tenors, Druid and The Irish Sopranos.David is currently Artistic & Musical Director for Opera In The Open, Dublin and is head of music for the Music Theatre programme at the American College, Dublin.
