It Takes A Village: Funny-Raiser

They say laughter is the best medicine, so we’re delighted to be hosting a very special comedy fundraising event in aid of the It Takes A Village community initiative.

Having been the first town to roll out the voluntary no smartphones code in Primary Schools, Greystones/Delgany has recently been making headlines around the world! We’ve seen what the world’s media had to say about it, and now we’ve invited some of Ireland’s funniest parents to get their unique (and highly entertaining) take on the idea!
Presented in partnership with the Lisa Richards Agency, the event will feature a range of comedians including Kevin McGahern, Julie Jay, Colm O’ Regan, Bernard O’ Shea, Áine Gallagher and Aidan Greene. A huge thank you goes out to all of these incredible comedians who are performing free-of-charge, in support of this initiative.
Another aim of the campaign is to recruit two Play Therapists to provide weekly support across all eight primary schools in the catchment area of Greystones and Delgany, and proceeds from this “Funny-Raiser” will go towards supporting It Takes A Village’s many initiatives and projects.
