Adjacent Meridian Point,
It’s not difficult to see why, shortly after its release in 1990, Home Alone became the highest-grossing live action comedy film of all time.
It’s got everything – snow, incompetent crooks, hand-burning, headbanging slapstick, a house that we all wish we could afford, and a kid we all wish we could swap our disappointing, non-resourceful, hostage-material offspring for.
Yep, Home Alone is a bona fide modern classic, but, more importantly, it’s incredibly funny. Even after all these years, it’s hard not to bust a gut every time Joe Pesci gets a headful of fire, or Daniel Stern gets a BB gun pellet to the groin.
Little known fact, but 47 stuntmen working on Home Alone ran home, crying for their mummies. And an ice pack.
We look forward to celebrate the genius of John Hughes and the outrageous cuteness of Macauley Culkin.
