So Happy Together

Ahead of Music Together’s free See The Beat show on June 23rd, founders ANDY & MARION SMITH explains where they got that beat.

Music Together is delighted to be back in The Whale on Sunday, June 23rd with See the Beat – we always have a wonderful time there.

Why See The Beat? In our long experience as music teachers working with students with disabilities, we gained an understanding of how multisensory learning is an invaluable principle in our work.

Although music may seem to be all about listening, playing music depends on ‘pre-hearing’. Visualisation can be a useful tool in facilitating pre-hearing.

These skills can be difficult to acquire for people with certain disabilities. In rehearsing and staging this show, we will be using the rhythms that come naturally to each individual.

The performance will feature new compositions, percussion, songs and special guests.

We would like to thank Sunbeam House Trust for their support.

The show is free and all are welcome!

You can book your free ticket for Music Together’s See The Beat at 2pm, Sunday June 23rd right here: https://whaletheatre.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873643535/events/128518734
