We’ll be right back after the interval…

As we hurtle through the eighth week of Covid-19 lockdown and restrictions, the situation may seem bleak…but we are hopeful and enthusiastic about what the future holds. Since the lockdown began, we have cancelled or postponed all performances at the theatre and we had hoped to be able to welcome you back sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, we will just have to wait a little bit longer!

With the introduction of the new “Roadmap for Reopening Society & Business” which aims to allow theatres to reopen in August, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone all scheduled events until September at the earliest! If you have a ticket for an event that has been postponed, we will be in touch as soon as possible with details for the rescheduled performance date. Tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled date, and if you are unable to attend on that date, you will be offered a full refund.

Over the coming months, we will be working hard to make sure the theatre is safe for when we are able to reopen and this may involve some changes to the way we are able to present events. Event capacities may need to be restricted to much lower numbers than usual, movement within the theatre may be limited and new systems will need to put in place, but rest assured it will still be the same smiling faces that greet you at the door once we are able to reopen them.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we hope to see you all again soon! If you have any questions, concerns or if you just want to say hi, please contact ask@whaletheatre.ie. 🐋

Don’t Forget…

We have been inviting audiences to help us shape the future of the Whale Theatre by participating in our Audience Feedback Survey. We’ve had a terrific response since the survey was launched, so if you haven’t already done so, please do take the time to complete it. Please click here to take the survey.
