Greystones Film Club

There was a time when a night out at the movies in Greystones was as common as, well, a night in bingeing on box sets.

Ah, those golden years, where you could get a Bruce Lee movie, a Curly-Wurly, a bag of Tayto and a new girlfriend down the back for under a shilling.

Well, fret not, for the Greystones Film Club are bringing sexy cinema back to Greystones, with a plethora of fine big-screen offerings over the coming month.

On Thursday, October 4th, we link-up with Greystones’ fine Indian restaurant Daata for Paddy Goes To Bollywood, the Dublin-shot smash hit Ek Tha Tiger playing at 9pm in The Whale, following a specially-created menu just around the corner from 7pm.

There’s also the little matter of Harry Potter, as we jump through the Boy Wizard’s adventures on the big screen. That one is part of the Greystones Secret Film Club, and you can sign up, for free, to that little party right on Where you’ll also find out about a brand new Irish documentary, screening on Wednesday, October 17th, that’s just hitting cinemas in October.

For Halloween, there are two big classics to choose from. For the freaks and geeks, there’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday, October 26th, whilst on Halloween Day, there’s Tim Burton’s one true masterpiece, The Nightmare Before Christmas, screening at 2pm so the little ones can go trick or treating afterwards.

And that’s just for the coming few weeks.

Keep watching the screens – and the Greystones Film Club website – for more goodies. Including a return trip from Greystones’ very own Elvis, and our annual visit from the world’s tallest elf.
