And Then There Was Trio

Having wooed audiences with two packed Sunday afternoon concerts in The Whale, Alan Smale of The Degani Ensemble returns on November 12th to highlight their little sister, The Degani Piano Trio.

Formed in 2015, this off-shoot of the 30-year-old ensemble has already performed in The National Concert Hall in Dublin and The Curtis Auditorium in Cork, amongst many other venues.

It was in the latter that the trio recently recorded their performances of Haydn’s Gypsy and Dvorak’s Dumky, recordings which are now being released on a CD. Which, handily enough, will come blinking into the light on the night.

For the Whale concert though, it’ll be Chopin and Brahms under the spotlight for what promises to be another magical afternoon. And another sell-out concert – so, book your tickets now. If not sooner.
